This session is presented by Dr. Ife Williams, titled ” Slave Revolts, Armed Defense and Protests: A Mapping of Black Resistance.” Dr. Ife Williams is an Africologist, Professor of Political Science and Africana History, and immediate Past President of the African Heritage Studies Association. Dr. Williams is creator of the Black Slave Revolts map at BlackSlaveRevolts.org. This map chronicles revolts by African and African Descendants against the Transatlantic Slave Trade, Slavery, and colonialism.
