National Black Cultural Information Trust, Inc. Welcomes New Maryland Corps and Service Year Option Members
Waldorf, MD — National Black Cultural Information Trust, Inc. is proud to announce the arrival of our new Maryland Corps/Service Year Option members as part of the statewide 2025–2026 class launched by the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI).
This year’s class includes members placed across host sites from across all 24 jurisdictions in Maryland. At National Black Cultural Information Trust, Inc., we are excited to welcome Marcus Moore and Giada Jackson who will contribute their talents to Informing, uplifting, and empowering through cultural information and resources.
“We are thrilled to start our partnership with DSCI and to welcome new members into our organization,” said Jessica Ann Mitchell Aiwuyor. “Maryland Corps/Service Year Option members bring fresh energy, ideas, and capacity that helps us reach more people in our community while preparing them with the skills and experience they’ll carry into Maryland’s workforce.”

The statewide program has grown exponentially since its inaugural class in 2023, demonstrating the growing demand for service opportunities. These members placed with National Black Cultural Information Trust, Inc. will support key initiatives as Outreach Coordinators. The Maryland service year program was an initiative started by Governor Wes Moore.
Through the Maryland Corps and Service Year Option, participants gain valuable professional development, industry certifications, and a $6,000 completion award, while National Black Cultural Information Trust, Inc. benefit from expanded capacity and fresh talent. “Investing in these young leaders is an investment in Maryland’s future,” said Jessica Ann Mitchell Aiwuyor. “We’re proud to be part of a program that strengthens our community while building the workforce our state needs.”
