Winston-Salem, NC — June 2026 — The 1 LOVE FESTIVAL, the award-winning celebration of African Diasporic culture, creativity, wellness, and innovation, proudly announces its signature concert event on Friday, June 26, 2026, at The Ramkat in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, featuring acclaimed vocalist Nailah Porter, a proud Winston-Salem native, and internationally celebrated singer, songwriter, and storyteller Joshuah Brian Campbell, joined by Solomon Fox and Friends for a special collaborative performance.
Now entering its sixth year, the 1 LOVE FESTIVAL continues its mission of cultivating spaces where culture, community, and creativity converge. This year’s concert promises an unforgettable evening of soul-stirring music, artistic excellence, and collective celebration during Black Music Month.
A daughter of Winston-Salem, Nailah Porter returns home to share her extraordinary gifts with the community that helped shape her. Known for her rich vocals, commanding stage presence, and seamless blending of jazz, soul, gospel, and contemporary influences, Porter has earned a reputation for performances that inspire, heal, and connect audiences across generations.
Joining Porter is Joshuah Brian Campbell, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, composer, and storyteller whose genre-defying artistry has captivated audiences throughout the United States and beyond. Campbell earned Academy Award and Grammy Award nominations for co-writing “Stand Up” with acclaimed singer and actress Cynthia Erivo. The powerful anthem served as the end-title song for the 2019 biographical film Harriet, introducing Campbell’s work to audiences around the globe and cementing his reputation as an artist committed to storytelling, justice, and liberation.
Campbell’s work seamlessly weaves together music, spirituality, history, and social consciousness, creating performances that are both deeply personal and profoundly communal. For this special appearance at the 1 LOVE FESTIVAL, Campbell will be joined by Winston-Salem’s own Solomon Fox and Friends, creating a unique musical collaboration that celebrates the creativity, talent, and cultural richness of the city and the broader African Diaspora.
“The 1 LOVE FESTIVAL has always been about more than entertainment,” said festival co-founders Rev. Dr. Melva L. Sampson and Darrick Young. “It is about creating sacred spaces of joy, imagination, belonging, and transformation. This concert embodies the spirit of the festival by bringing together artists whose work inspires us to dream bigger, love deeper, and build stronger communities.”
The concert is a featured event of the 2026 1 LOVE FESTIVAL, taking place June 25–27 throughout Winston-Salem. The festival includes the Restorying Institute, community conversations, wellness experiences, artistic exhibitions, entrepreneurship programming, and cultural celebrations designed to honor the richness and diversity of the African Diaspora.
Since its founding in 2019, the 1 LOVE FESTIVAL has welcomed thousands of attendees and featured nationally recognized artists, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and cultural innovators. The festival has become a cornerstone cultural event in the Triad, generating economic impact while fostering connection, creativity, and collective well-being.
